Windows platform has more affinity towards the errors, bugs and viruses. Something or other will always happen with windows OS. This tutorial is to provide you solution for the hibernation error when you try to activate hibernation option via control panel.
When you try to activate hibernation, then windows may provide you error saying "Power policy manager unable to reserve hibernate file". This error encounters because of the virtual drive software installed in your system like Alcohol, deamon tools and etc.
How to get rid of the above problem?
- First find the virtual drive software like Alcohol or deamon tools or etc. installed in your system.
- Uninstall it from control panel or using any un-installer softwares.
- Now Go to Control panel-->Power Options-->Hibernation and check mark on Hibernation and click on Apply and ok.
- Now re-install you virtual drive(If you wish to) and you are done.
