INR Rupee symbol to get a place on keyboard

[caption id="attachment_1930" align="aligncenter" width="370" caption="INR Symbol"][/caption]

After coining the new symbol for INR symbol, India faced problems embodying the new symbol on the digital media, like on websites. Thought it was always known that India would soon incorporate the INR symbol into the ASCII list, but it is now official. The Press information bureau of India has released a statement which says,
In order to promote the new symbol of Rupee i.e. the same has been encoded in Unicode Standard and National Standard ISCII. The new symbol has also been placed on the keyboard and by pressing “Alt Gr” + “4” keys together it can be typed. Detailed information is hosted on TDIL Centre (http://tdil-dc.in/) for the benefit of the users at large.

This is a good news to all the bloggers and writers over the web because, very soon they are going to be able to type the rupee symbol directly from the keyboard instead of messy workarounds. The keyboards are going to show the rupee symbol on the keyboards just close to the dollar symbol soon.

TukTuk Meter: Save yourself from being overcharged

It is often seen in the metro cities of India, that you get an auto rickshaw or a cab to reach an unknown destination and you get exploited by a round-about trip by your rickshaw-wala just to overcharge you. Sometimes the tuktuk’s meter may be tampered to deceive you into paying more.. This does happen. But now with this new Tuk Tuk Meter, an application for your android/symbian/blackberry smartphone, you can save yourself some extra bucks.

Mindhelix Technologies has brought this new interesting app, called Tuk Tuk Meter which uses GPS to give you the route you’re being taken by. All you need to do is when you get on the auto, you have to press start. The Tuk Tuk Meter will start monitoring the route and display you the same. Once you reach the destination you can just stop it.

The Tuk Tuk meter will give you a summary on the route, distance and time. It also allows user to feed in the local fare charges. Once you set it, the application will also show you the fare of your total journey. This is similar to having your own meter while you board an auto rickshaw or cab.

Tuk Tuk meter is available free and can be downloaded from their website. The following snapshots will pretty much summarize the whole concept.

Hope this application just doesn’t die as like the previous ones that came in the market.

Adobe photoshop lightroom-3

Photoshop lightroom 3 is Adobe’s high-end digital photography editing application. More specifically, Lightroom 3 is Adobe’s solution to Apple’s release of the Aperture 3 software

Lightroom is specifically designed for photographers, photo journalists and the extreme digital image enthusiasts. The main purpose of Lightroom is to allow users the option to organize, process and digitally enhance image files (with RAW support).

Of course, Adobe upgraded the previous version of Lightroom by adding new features and functions but they also aimed to provide a generally accessible and more intuitive user interface with Lightroom 3.

Adobe lightroom review

The Adobe Lightroom 3 interface is split into “modules”, which are designed to break up the main functions of the software. The Lightroom 3 modules or modes are categorized as follows: Library, Develop, Slideshow, Print and Web. Each module allows users to take advantage of different features, which together comprise the core functions of Lightroom’s style (“organize, develop and produce”).

Lightroom 3 is currently the most expensive professional editing software available when compared to related products in the same price range. As an initial breakdown of the review we would like to state that Lightroom 3 is the best available, and it is the only worthy solution in its product range for professionals using a PC.

The only competition for Adobe’s Lightroom 3 software, worth mentioning, is Apple's aperture 3 application which is only available to Mac OSX users. Obviously Windows 7 and PC users are deterred from using Mac software (because it’s incompatible), so the only option is something like Adobe lightroom 3. That’s not to say however, that the PC and Windows users are left out when it comes to reliable and well designed professional photo editing software.

Adobe Lightroom – Software Overview

Adobe Lightroom 3 has it all, custom organization and categorization options, photo editing and enhancement features, visually stunning slideshow support, and ofcourse individual print and web publishing options.

Lightroom 3 includes several new features that make older versions deserving of the upgrade. Those new features include a fresh RAW processing engine, photo enhancement presets (with options to socially share them), Flickr plugins (integrated upload), a unique Lens correction tool tailored to high end lenses, and increased tethering and video support.

Adobe photoshop lightroom-3

To conclude, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 is one of the best professional photo editing options on the market. With it’s quick develop functions, easy production options, and social media integration, Lightroom 3 offers more than enough for industry professionals.

The Lightroom 3 trial is available free for anyone looking to try out the software, and provides a complete 30 day access with absolutely no restrictions (complete use of the software and features are permitted).

Thank you for reading our Adobe Lightroom review. After trying it out, we feel you’ll agree the software is one of the best currently available on the market. Click here to order a copy on Amazon, which is the cheapest place we found to buy Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3.
