India’s mobile service provider Aircel has deployed the first ever voice-activated service for updating status on Facebook.
Aircel subscribers can call to 51555 and then speak into the handset to update their status which will be then transcribed into text and posted on the caller’s Facebook profile.
Generally, speech recognition tool will not lead to accurate results but Aircel service provider has come up with a very handy tool which will accurately parse your speech and converts it into text and updates it in your Facebook profile.
Other mobile service providers are yet trying to implement tis feature and hope they all come up very soon :)
