Most common problem which you can find in Google webmaster while trying to submit sitemap of your website is "Paths don't match We've detected that you submitted your Sitemap using a URL path that doesn't include the www prefix (for instance, http://example.com/sitemap.xml). However, the URLs listed inside your Sitemap do use the www prefix (for instance, http://www.example.com/myfile.htm."
This problem is because you might have submitted wrong sitemap format or because of non www content. So to get your sitemap verified and submitted, carry out the following steps.
- Go to dashboard of your website and then to to general settings. Here change the Site URL to look as http://www.example.com.
Note : www is very very essential.
- Now, go to http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
- Then enter your website URL for which you want to create sitemap.
- Now select frequency, Last modification and Priority.
- Now click on start.
- Download sitemap.xml file and upload it to your website hosted htdocs folder.
- Now go to Google webmaster and submit. It will automatically gets submitted.
