In ubuntu, when you watch any video, it will be downloaded to your system and from there it will be played in browser actually. If you want to download that video, then you need not require and third party softwares. Your ubuntu only support the downloading. The video will be saved in cache or temp folder.
All the following tasks should be done before closing the tab or the browser.
- First check in /tmp folder. If you find the buffered video, then copy it to some other drive of your's and then if you want to close the tab of browser, you can close.
- If you can't find video in tmp folder, then not to worry.
- Go to home folder. Then press Control+H (To open hidden files).
- Now open .cache folder and then go to google-chrome folder.
- Browse to Default folder and here you can see your google-chrome's cached files.
- Find your video in this folder and copy it to your system drive.
